The day has finally come! Earlier today Benedict Cumberbatch was honored with a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame! Star Trek: Into Darkness director J.J. Abrams and Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige were invited to share some lovely words about him (Abrams even took the opportunity to remind of the neutron cream prank). His wife Sophie Hunter and his The Power of the Dog co-star Kodi Smit-McPhee were also there to support him.
In his heartfelt speech, Benedict thanked his wife and his sons, his fans, and everyone who’s worked with him, paid tribute to his sister Tracy Peacock, who died of cancer last year, and used his platform to show his support “for the people of Ukraine, my support for the people of Russia who are opposing the Kleptocracy and the idiocy of their rulers to try and halt the progression of this atrocity.”
